I ordered this unit for work, so I wouldn't have to keep buying soft drinks from the vending machine.It does work in that capacity, but there are some annoyances with it, and some limitations.
First I'll start off with the positives.It's lightweight, and it's really attractive.It also does cool things pretty well.I can't comment on warming things up, because I haven't tried it.
The negative part is it is quite large for what it can hold.And more than that, the insides don't hold temperature very well at all after you power it down.It warms up way too fast.Also, unlike a compressor based refrigeration unit, this thing is on all the time.Lastly, you are only supposed to run this for 48 hours consecutively, after which time you need to power if off for one hour.This is not stated in the description, but is an annoyance.
So, overall, it's not bad, because it does keep things quite cold, and you can put most things in it (2 liter bottles you have slant a little).Particularly at work, it can save you money, and give you a much better selection than the vending machine since you can bring in whatever you want.You will also get comments on how beautiful it is; it's that attractive.Just be aware of its imperfections so you won't be disappointed.

Purchased a Drink-O-Matic for my son at Sharper Image.Simple to set up.Worked perfectly right out of the box.Drink-O-Matic looks "cool", and cools sodas fairly well, but drinks are not as cold as a real refrigerator.Also, it makes a continuous fan sound.Not loud, just continuous.If cooling drinks is your top priority, buy a small fridge instead.But if you want a "cool" conversation piece, I recommend the Drink-O-Matic.My son loves it in his room.
