This an excellent product.I have been using this type of filter for at least 10 years with great results.
Buying these through Amazon is like getting one for free. Purchasing these filters three at a time is a real money saver.
This filter is expensive but it last 4 months for us, that is 3 adults. Get the 4 pack, saves money and you just bought enough for year and a half.
I purchased these instead of the GE WMF filter because the GE's were SOOO expensive. This is the first time I've purchased something other than GE filters. They work just fine. One thing I would say, though, is make sure you turn the water off to the frig before you change the filter. My husband didn't do that and we had a flood in the frig.
We drink well water at our NC home in the mountains.This filter really freshens it up and makes it taste nice and crisp.YUM!
Everyone please note that these are Water Sentinel filters and NOT AMANA as the title suggests.This is very misleading as this is not the Amana brand name replacement as the title implies , but a generic replacement.I did not notice this until I received the product.The picture shows it, but I do not think they should be able to say it in their title and I am going to let Amazon know about this.
A nice two-pack filter set for your refrigerator. There's a bit of a trick to get it seated correctly, though.If you don't get it just right, your water flow won't engage.Once I figured it out, it was fine.Better deal for your dollar compared with name-brand filters.
This product does what it is supposed to! One advise: Remember to take about 01 liter, before you drink your first cup - the first water comes too overcast.
I searched amazon for General Electric DEFROST HEATER AND BRACKET ASSEMBLY FOR GE REFRIGERATORS and found the item on the website. I compared defective item I ahve with that of amazon and picture/description matches.
Consumers BEWARE! The GE Smartwater GWF filter is not a replacement for the old 'Culligan' FXRC metal filter. Despite the available adapter, the new Smartwater GWF filter was designed for a newer 'high-pressure' system installed in GE refrigerators manufactured after 2001. On the older models using normal water pressure [mine is a GE Performance Profile] these filters do not work. They will seem fine at first, only to run to a trickle in less than a month. I burned through several of these at @ $40.00 each until I discovered the problem.
This is a filter is a fake! While the description claims it fits my model refrigerator it does not. The threads are completely different so it will not even screw in.
I purchased this MXRC filter to replace the FXRC Culligan filter that came with my GE refrigerator that I bought back in 1999.I just wanted to say that it works fine as there is some confusion as to whether the MXRC filter is a replacement for the FXRC Culligan filter - it is.
Installation was a cinch. Does what it claims. Cheaper than the GE filter. However, I think it's overpriced for what it is, but I guess they tailor their $ to GE's cost which is just ridiculous.

I purchased two of these filters as replacements for my Samsung fridge.The part number shipped was the DA29-00003B, which I think is also compatible with the DA29-00003A as well.It worked flawlessly in my fridge (Model RS2556SH).I recieved my order in the mail 3 days after purchase (regular USPS delivery)!
I decided to replace the original filter on my GE refrigerator after about 10 months when the "change filter" light came on. I went to the local hardware store and found a replacement for $49 plus tax. It seemed expensive, so I decided to check Amazon instead and found these along with the OEM GE filters.
The water tasted different post installation of the filter and even after several days of use. I cannot confirm if the seller sold a genuine GE filter OR an after market water-filter re-printed with GE logo on it.
It was time to replace the water filter in our GE Cafe refrigerator. As is typically the case, Amazon was the most economical source to purchase.
Shipped immediately, took it out of the box, ignored all the instructions and warnings as men do, unscrewed the other one, put this one in, filled up 2 big glasses of water to "flush it" and that was it.
